Hi, I'm Abi – an English tutor, actor and award-winning Playwright from Yorkshire, now living in Kent. I've been teaching GCSE English for over 15 years, and I can honestly say that I absolutely love what I do.
The greatest joy in my job comes from seeing the students I support transform from unsure, under-confident individuals into curious, thoughtful and confident readers and writers. I'm never shy about showing my passion for GCSE English because I truly believe that it's the best way to approach these texts. I throw myself into every lesson to show students that what we're studying isn't just something to memorise for an exam—it's often a fascinating, beautiful and thought-provoking piece of literature. Stories filled with complex, flawed and unforgettable characters, exploring themes that are just as relevant today as when they were first written.

Literature has the power to stay with you for a lifetime. I studied 'Wuthering Heights' at A level, and it has never left me. "He is more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same... " GEEZ! I don't want to add to the stress of the GCSE years.
